Control
1. Remove the front bumper to access the horn (see Chapter 11).
2. Disconnect the connector from the horn.
3. Using a wire of sufficient length, apply voltage from the battery to the terminals of the horn.
4. If there is no sound, replace the signal.
5. If there is sound, remove the steering wheel (see Chapter 10).
6. Check the conductivity between the contact rings and the steering wheel hub where the horn contact is located.
7. If there is no continuity, repair the horn switch.
8. If there is conductivity, then there is probably a loss of contact in the wiring of the horn shutdown circuit.
Replacement
9. Remove the front bumper (see Chapter 11).
10. Disconnect the wires from the horn.
11. Loosen the nuts securing the horn to the chassis and remove the horn.
12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
