Withdrawal
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the front wheels. Place a jack under the lower control arm.
3. Remove the lower rack yoke.
4. Press out from a rotary fist a spherical support.
5. Disconnect the brake hose brackets from the rack.
6. Turn away nuts of the top fastening and remove a rack.
7. Turn away self-locking nuts of bolts of fastening of the top lever and remove the lever.
Attention! The upper suspension arm is a non-separable structure. If the ball joint or bushings are worn or damaged, replace the upper control arm.
Installation
8. Install the upper arm on the stand.
9. Install the stand. Secure the shock absorber with bolts.
10. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order. Replace all self-locking nuts. Tighten the nuts securing the upper arm bushings to a torque (Nm):
- CR-V - 54
- Odyssey 4-cylinder - 64
Tighten the ball joint with a torque of 39-47 Nm. Finally tighten the strut mounts after removing the vehicle from the jack. Upon completion, check and adjust the angles of the front wheels.
Upper arm bushings
The lever assembly with bushings is a non-separable design. In case of wear of the bushings, the lever assembly with the bushings is replaced.
