Note. To carry out the test, you will need special tools: an adapter for mounting and an oil pressure gauge (07406—0030000).
Note. If the low oil pressure indicator stays on while the engine is running, check the engine oil level.
1. If the oil level is correct, remove the lower engine cover.
2. Remove the engine oil pressure sensor, then install the special tool.
3. Start the engine. Stop it immediately if the pressure gauge shows no oil pressure. Correct the problem before proceeding.
4. Wait for the engine to warm up to operating temperature (the electric fan should turn on at least two times). The pressure must be:
- engine oil temperature: at 3000 rpm. (min-1): 80 °C;
- engine oil pressure: no more than 70 kPa;
- at idle: no more than 340 kPa.
5. If the oil pressure is not within the specified range, check the following items:
- change the oil filter;
- check the oil bypass valve;
- check if the oil receiver mesh is clogged;
- check the oil pump.
6. Install the engine bottom cover.
