Checking the oil level
1. The oil level is checked with a dipstick at the front of the engine.
2. Park the vehicle on level ground before checking the oil level. Check the oil level before driving the car, or about 5 minutes after stopping the engine.
3. Remove the dipstick from the tube and wipe it with a clean cloth. Insert a clean dipstick all the way into the nozzle and remove it again. Check the oil level at the film boundary at the end of the dipstick. If necessary, add oil through the opening in the cylinder head cover until the level is between the marks on the dipstick. The amount of oil corresponding to the change in level from the lower mark to the upper one is about 1.0 liters. Do not exceed the normal oil level, as this will lead to oil leakage from under the gaskets, or to a violation of the stuffing box seals.
Changing the oil and oil filter
According to the manufacturer's recommendations, the oil should be changed after 12000 km or 1 time per year under normal driving conditions, or after 6000 km or 2 times per year under severe driving conditions. However, it is recommended to change the oil after 5000 km or 2 times a year, as the life of the engine is greatly increased.
1. Install the car on a pit or overpass. The sump drain plug is located at the bottom of the sump.
2. Install the drain pan and unscrew the oil filler plug on the cylinder head cover.
3. Release a drain stopper and turn out by hand. As soon as the plug has come out of the thread, quickly remove the plug so that the jet of oil does not get on your hands.
4. Wait until the oil has drained completely. Wipe the plug clean, replace the O-ring on the aluminum plug.
5. Tighten the plug with a torque of 39 Nm (aluminum pallet) or 44 Nm (steel pallet).
6. Place a vessel under the oil filter and unscrew the filter with a special wrench (or wrapped in rags). Drain the oil from the filter into a container.
7. Wipe the mating surface dry at the filter installation site, lightly lubricate the O-ring of the new filter with engine oil and screw on the new filter. After contact of the gasket of the filter with the plane of the cylinder block, tighten the filter by hand by 1/2-3/4 turn.
8. Fill the engine with oil.
9. Start the engine. You can increase the speed only after the oil pressure warning lamp goes out. Warm up the engine, stop and, after waiting a few minutes, check the oil level again, top up if necessary.
