Examination
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Disconnect the variable valve timing valve connector (A).
3. Remove the valve (B) from the cylinder head.
4. Make sure that valve "A" is in the extreme left position as shown in the figure.
5. Connect the wire from the positive terminal of the battery to terminal "2" of the valve connector, and from the negative terminal to terminal "1".
6. Make sure that valve "A" has moved more than 1.2 mm.
Replace the valve if necessary.
7. Assemble in the reverse order of removal. When assembling, install a new sealing ring (C).
Tightening torque - 12 Nm
