Removal and installation
1. Remove the parts as shown in the pictures.
D15B, D17A. 1 - thermostat housing, 2 - thermostat, 3 - stem, 4 - rubber seal, 5 - thermostat housing cover.
K20A. 1 - thermostat, 2 - sealing ring.
2. Installation of parts during assembly is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note (D15B, D17A): install the thermostat with the stem facing upwards.
Examination
Note: Replace the thermostat if its valve remains open at room temperature.
1. Place the thermostat in a container with water. The thermometer should not touch the hot bottom.
2. Heat the water and measure the temperature at which the thermostat valve begins to open and when it is fully opened.
- Valve lift - 8 mm
- Temperature of opening start - 76 - 80°C
- Full opening temperature - 90°C
