Removal
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Remove the air filter assembly.
3. Remove the radiator hoses.
4. Remove the wire holder "A", ground wire "B", wire retainer "C", coolant bypass hose "B" and wire harness retainer "E".

5. Remove the thermostat housing with the thermostat.

Examination
1. Place the thermostat in a container with water. Do not place the thermometer on the hot bottom.

2. Heat the water and measure the temperature at which the thermostat valve begins to open and when it is fully opened.
- Valve lift - 8 mm
- Temperature of the beginning of opening is 80 - 84°C
- Full opening temperature - 95°C
Installation
1. Remove any remaining sealant from the contact surface of the thermostat housing, bolts and bolt holes.
2. Apply a 1.5mm bead of sealant to the thermostat housing.
Note: The parts must be installed within the time specified in the sealant's instructions for use. Otherwise, the sealant must be removed and reapplied.

3. Place the rubber seat on the thermostat and install the thermostat with the pin facing up.

4. Install the thermostat housing.
5. Install the wire holder "A", ground wire "B", wire retainer "C", coolant bypass hose "D" and wire harness retainer "E".

6. Install the radiator hoses.
7. Install the air filter assembly.
Note: After assembly, wait 30 minutes before adding coolant.
