Tensioner check
Attention. Do not disassemble the tensioner.
The front seat belt tensioners have pretensioners, so during work see ch. Additional passive safety system (SRS).
1. Make sure that when the tensioner is carefully rotated within 15°of the installation angle, the belt does not block.
Front/rear belt tensioners
2. Make sure that when the tensioner is carefully rotated more than 40°relative to the installation angle, the belt will block.
Rear seat belt tensioner
3. Make sure that when the tensioner is carefully rotated more than 40°relative to the installation angle and the belt is pulled out, approx. at 1000 mm the belt is blocked.
Checking the installation status of the belts
1. Check if the belt is twisted.
2. After installing each anchor, make sure that they move freely around the axis. If the anchor does not rotate satisfactorily, unscrew the anchor bolt and check the order of the washers and their condition.
3. Check belts for dirt, defects and discoloration. If the belt is dirty, clean it with a cloth.
4. Make sure that the belts do not block during slow pulling, and when pulling hard, they block.
5. Make sure the rear seat center belt locks when pulled out approx. 180 mm when the right rear seatback is lowered forward.
6. Make sure the belt is properly wound by the tensioner when released after slowly pulling out.
6. The rear seat belts are equipped with mechanisms for securing child seats, so if you release the belt after slowly pulling out, a characteristic sound of the mechanism will be heard. Check that the belt does not stretch during operation of the mechanism. Also, check that after the belt is completely rewound, it returns to normal operation.
