1. Carefully inspect the components of the seat belts (tapes, buckles, latches, anchor knots and guide loops), checking them for signs of wear or damage.
2. When the ignition key is turned to the RUN or START position, the control lamp on the instrument panel should light up. At the same time, the buzzer sounds. With a passive design of the system, the shoulder section of the belt must be wound up on the A-pillar of the car body.
3. Make sure that the inertial return device is working properly - the belts should be securely blocked during sharp jerks, while continuing to unwind freely when pulled out smoothly.
4. If defects or signs of malfunction are found, replace the defective components of the seat belt assembly.
