Automatic hydromechanical transmission. stepless variator
The level of the working fluid in the automatic transmission is monitored when the engine and transmission are warmed up to normal operating temperature.
The required degree of heating of the units is provided by the vehicle mileage at a distance of at least 16 km.
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine. To accurately determine the level of the working fluid in the transmission, the check should be carried out no earlier than 60 and no later than 90 seconds after turning off the engine.
2. Remove the control probe (yellow handle) from the transmission case and wipe it dry with a clean cloth.
3. Insert the dipstick into the hole in the transmission case and lower it until it stops, as shown in the illustration.
4. Remove the dipstick again and check the fluid level. The fluid level must be between the upper and lower marks.
5. If the level of the working fluid has dropped below the minimum mark, add the recommended brand and type of fluid to the transmission crankcase and bring its level to the upper mark.
Transmission with stepless variator
Use only Honda ATF PREMIUM for filling and topping up. If absolutely necessary, DEXRONR type II or III automatic transmission fluid can be used. However, in this case, a violation of the normal functioning of the transmission with a continuously variable variator is possible. Drain the transmission fluid as soon as possible and replace it with the recommended Honda brand ATF PREMIUM fluid.
Automatic hydromechanical transmission
The automatic transmission must only be operated with Honda brand ATF PREMIUM fluid or DEXRON® type II or III fluid.
1. Insert the dipstick into the hole in the transmission case and push it until it stops as shown in the illustration.
