Each individual fuse is used to protect a specific electrical circuit. The fuse identification table is usually glued to the cover of the mounting block, on its inside.
The fuse box uses compact fuses with bayonet contacts, which can be easily removed from their sockets in the box with your fingers if necessary. If any of the power consumers fails, the condition of the corresponding fuse should always be checked first. The fuse box is made of transparent plastic, through which the condition of the working jumper can be easily determined (see illustration below).

When replacing a blown fuse, make sure that the replacement fuse you prepare matches the type of the fuse that failed. Fuses designed for different nominal current strengths may not physically differ from each other, but they are not interchangeable. Each electrical circuit is designed for different operating parameters and requires a different degree of protection, so replacing a fuse designed for a certain current strength with one that does not match its parameters is fraught with the most serious consequences (until a fire breaks out). Operating parameters of the fuse (rated current) usually marked on its plastic body.
If the new fuse also fails immediately after installation, there is no point in replacing it further - you should first identify and eliminate the cause of the overload in the circuit. In most cases, this is a short circuit in the wiring caused by damage to its insulation.
All models of the vehicles covered in this Manual have a main fuse, usually designed for a rated current of 80 or 100 amperes. The fuse provides general protection for all circuits connected to the battery and is knocked out when any of them is overloaded, thereby preventing the failure of the main braid of electrical wiring. The main fuse consists of a plate-shaped metal jumper that easily melts when electrical overloads occur. Before starting to replace the main fuse, be sure to disconnect the battery pack. A replacement main fuse can always be purchased from the car manufacturer's service center.
Warning! If the car stereo system is equipped with a security code, make sure you have the correct combination to activate the audio system before disconnecting the battery!
The main fuse is located in the fuse box located in the engine compartment of the car, looks little different from other fuses and is replaced in a similar way. Remember that a failed main fuse must be replaced with a replacement fuse rated for the same current.
