Functional check
Attention. When pulling out the switch, be careful not to damage the mirror switch or the driver's side lower dashboard cover.
1. Pull the switch out of the driver's side lower dashboard cover.
2. Disconnect the 10K connector from the switch.
Note: LHD type is shown, RHD type is similar.

Mirror check
Both don't work:
1. Check the voltage between pin No. 2 (BLK/YEL) and the housing with the ignition switch ON (II).
There should be battery voltage.
- If there is no voltage, check:
- Fuse No. 17 has blown (7.5A) in the under-panel fuse and relay box.
- Break in the BLK/YEI wire.
- If battery voltage is available, proceed to step 2.
2. Check continuity between pin No. 4 (BLK) and body.
There must be conductivity.
- If there is no continuity, check:
-Break in BLK wire.
-Poor grounding (G551).
The left mirror does not work:
Connect pin #2 (BLK/YEL) 10K connector, to pin No. 3 (YEL/RED) and contact No. 5 (or No. 6) to the body with connecting wires. The left mirror should tilt downwards (or turn left), when the ignition switch is ON (II).
- If the mirror doesn't tilt down (or does not turn left), remove the left door panel, and check for an open in the BLU/WHT wire (or BLU/BLK) between the left mirror and the switch.
- If the wire is OK, check the left mirror drive.
- If the mirror does not tilt down or turn to the left, repair the wire
- If the mirror is working properly, check the mirror switch.
The right mirror does not work:
Connect pin #2 (BLK/YEL) 10R connector to pin No. 3 (YEL/RED), and contact No. 9 (or No. 8) to the body with a connecting wire. The right mirror should tilt downwards (or turn left), when the ignition switch is turned ON (II).
- If the mirror doesn't tilt down (or does not turn left), remove the right door panel and check for an open in the GRN/WHT wire (or YEL/BLK) between the right controlled mirror and the switch. If the wire is OK, check the right-hand mirror drive.
- If the mirror does not tilt down or turn left, repair the wire. If the mirror is working properly, check the mirror switch.
Folding mirrors does not work:
Connect pin #2 (BLK/YEL) 10K connector to pin No. 10 (BLU/YEL) connecting wire, The mirrors should be folded/unfolded when the ignition switch is switched back and forth between ON (II) And (OFF).
- If the mirrors do not fold or unfold, check the input signal to the folding mirror control unit.
- If one of the mirrors does not fold or unfold, check the folding mirror drive.
- If the mirrors operate correctly, replace the switch.
