Checking the input signal of the hazard/turn signal relay
This area contains SRS components. Before performing repairs and maintenance, review the SRS component locations, precautions, and procedures in the SRS section.
1. Remove the hazard warning/turn signal relay from the under-panel fuse/relay box.
2. Inspect the relays and the contacts of the fuse and relay box sockets to ensure that they are securely connected.
- If the contacts are bent, loose or corroded, repair them if necessary and retest the system.
- If the contacts are OK, perform the following tests for the input signal to the fuse and relay box socket.
- If any of the tests reveal a problem, find and correct the cause, then test the system again.
- If all input signal tests are positive, the hazard/turn signal relay is faulty, replace it.
