Inspection for fluid leaks
Note: The picture shows a left-hand drive car, the right-hand drive car is symmetrical.
Hoses and tubes:
- Inspect hoses for damage, leaks, kinks or twists.
- Inspect fluid lines for damage, rust or leaks.
- Inspect the hose, joints and line connections for leaks.

Replacement
Note:
- Connect each hose securely to the corresponding tube until it stops against the stopper on the tube. Install the bolt clamp or spring clamp at the nominal distance from the end of the hose as shown in the figure.
- Add power steering fluid to the reservoir's rated level and check for leaks.
Bolt clamp:
- Clamp the points marked (a) in the figure above with clamps.
- Insert the tube into the hose until it stops against the stopper.

Caution: Check all clamps for crushing and deformation; replace with new ones if necessary.
Spring clamp:
- Clamp the points marked (b) in the figure above with clamps.
- Insert the tube into the hose until it stops against the stopper.
