Removal
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.
2. Raise the vehicle and place it on stands. Apply the parking brake and shift the transmission into neutral.
3. Remove the pipe protection. Early models have only one protection, later models have two.
4. Make marks relative to the position of the shaft parts.
5. Remove the rear universal joint mounting bolts. Turn to access all bolts.
6. Remove the bolts securing the front and rear supports and remove the center shaft section from the vehicle.
7. Remove the front universal joint mounting bolts.
Installation
8. Install the shaft according to the marks and secure the rear cardan joint.
9. Raise the front of the shaft and secure the front universal joint.
10. Secure the front and rear bearing supports.
11. The tightening torque of the bolts is given in the specification.
12. Install the shaft guard.
