Caution: The crankshaft pulley bolt has a right-hand thread. When turning the crankshaft counterclockwise using the crankshaft pulley bolt, it may come loose. After completing the work, tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt to the required torque using a Torx key.

: 245 N·m (25.0 kg·m)
1. Remove the generator (see chapter Electrical equipment), remove the generator bracket (see below).
2. Remove the valve cover and top cover.
- Be careful not to get engine oil on the belts.
- For valve cover installation, see above.
- Do not use the top cover to store small parts. Before installing the cover, remove dirt with a cloth.
3. Remove the oil dipstick guide tube, crankshaft pulley and lower cover.
- Do not use the bottom cover to store small parts. Before installing the bottom cover, be sure to remove dirt with a cloth.
- Be careful not to damage the rubber seals when installing the bottom cover.
4. Install the crankshaft pulley and tighten the pulley bolt to the required torque (see above).
5. Check the belt along its entire length for damage, wear, and contamination with engine oil and coolant.
Perform the check by turning the crankshaft.
- If damage or wear is detected, replace the belt (see above).
- If there is engine oil or coolant on the belt, remove the belt, wipe each area near the belt and install a new belt.
