2. Remove the tie rod ends and lock nuts (see section 25).
3. Remove the boot clamps and remove the boot.
4. Before installing new boots, clean the threads and splines on the ends of the steering rods and wrap the splines with electrical tape to avoid damaging the new boot.
5. Put on new dust boots and install them in the grooves of the steering rods, tighten the clamps.
6. Remove the electrical tape and install the tie rod ends (see section 25).
7. Install the wheels and tighten the nuts. Lower the car, tighten the wheel fasteners.
