1. Set wheels to straight ahead, check fluid level (see chapter 1). Top up to the mark if necessary "Cold" (cold) (1984-1987 models release) on the dipstick or to the lower mark of the power steering reservoir (models since 1988)
2. Start the engine and let it run at high idle. Check fluid level again.
3. Bleed the system by turning the steering wheel from side to side without sudden stops, thereby removing air from the system. Check fluid level and top up if necessary.
4. Put the wheels in the straight ahead position and let the engine run for a few minutes.
5. Carry out a test drive. Make sure the steering gear works properly and without noise.
6. Check the liquid level on the label "NOT" (hot) at normal engine operating temperature. Adjust the level if necessary.
