Removal
1. Loosen the wheel nuts. Raise the front of the car, place it on stands and remove the wheels.
2. Holding the tip with a wrench, release the lock nut, unscrew it to a distance sufficient to apply a paint mark of the relative position of the tip and the rod.

3. Remove the cotter pin and loosen the tip stud nut, do not unscrew the nuts completely!
4. Separate the tie rod end from the steering knuckle. Remove the nut and dismantle the end.
Installation
5. Screw the tip to the mark and insert the ball stud into the steering knuckle. Do not tighten the lock nut.

6. Tighten the ball stud nut to specification. Install a new cotter pin.
7. Tighten the lock nut.
8. Install the wheels and tighten the nuts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel nuts.
9. Have the wheel alignment checked at a service station.
