
2. Remove the release fork (C) from the clutch housing (B) by compressing the release fork mounting spring (D) with pliers. Remove the release bearing (E).
3. Check the release bearing play by turning it by hand. If the play is excessive, replace the bearing with a new one.

Note: The release bearing is packed with grease. Do not wash it in solvent.
4. Apply Urea Grease UM264 (41211-PY5-305) on the release fork (A), release fork axle (B), release bearing (C) and release bearing guide (D) in the shaded areas.

5. After inserting the release fork between the release bearing latches, install the release bearing onto the secondary shaft by inserting the release fork through the hole in the clutch housing.
6. Align the release fork retainer with the release fork axle, then place the release fork onto the release fork axle without tilting.
7. Place the cover (E) on the release fork; make sure the boot seals the release fork and clutch housing.
8. Move the release fork (A) right and left and make sure that it fits snugly against the release bearing (B) and that the release bearing rotates smoothly.
