Removal and installation the crankshaft pulley (Honda Civic 8)

Removal

1. Remove the right front wheel.

2. Remove the lower engine cover.

3. Remove the drive belt.

4. Hold the pulley with handle A and pulley holding handle B.

5. Remove the bolt using a 19mm C socket and a pry bar.

Installation

1. Clean crankshaft pulley A, crankshaft nose B, bolt C and washer D. Lubricate with new engine oil as shown in the figure.



2. Install the crankshaft pulley and hold the pulley with handle A and pulley holding handle B.



3. Tighten the bolt to 29 N·m using a torque wrench and a 19 mm C socket. Do not use an impact wrench. When using a new pulley bolt or a new crankshaft, tighten the bolt to 34 N·m.



4. Tighten the pulley mounting bolt an additional 90°.

5. Install the drive belt.

6. Install the lower engine cover.

7. Install the right front wheel.
