Note: To perform the check, you will need special tools: a mounting adapter and an oil pressure gauge (07406-0030000).

Note: If the low oil pressure indicator remains on while the engine is running, check the engine oil level.
1. If the oil level is normal, remove the lower engine cover.
2. Remove the engine oil pressure gauge and install the special tool.

3. Start the engine. Stop it immediately if the pressure gauge does not show oil pressure. Correct the fault before proceeding.
4. Wait until the engine warms up to operating temperature (the electric fan should turn on at least twice). The pressure should be equal to:
- engine oil pressure at 820 rpm (min⁻¹);
- engine oil temperature: at 3000 rpm (min⁻¹): 80°C;
- engine oil pressure: not less than 110 kPa;
- at idle: no more than 410 kPa.
5. If the oil pressure value is not within the specified range, check the following items:
- replace the oil filter;
- check the oil bypass valve;
- check if the oil receiver screen is clogged;
- check the oil pump.
6. Install the lower engine cover.
