Torque Converter Lockup Solenoid Valve (Honda Civic 7)

Examination

1. Disconnect the torque converter lockup solenoid valve connector.



2. Check the resistance between the terminals of the solenoid valve.

Resistance - 12 - 25 Ohm

3. Connect terminal "2" of the electromagnetic valve to the positive terminal of the battery, and terminal "T" to the negative terminal and check the operation of the electromagnetic valve: clicks should be heard.

Replace the torque converter lockup solenoid valve if necessary.

Replacement

1. Disconnect the torque converter lockup solenoid valve connector.

2. Loosen the bolt and remove the solenoid valve (A).



3. Install new O-rings (B) onto the new solenoid valve and install the solenoid valve.



Tightening torque - 12 Nm

4. Make sure there is no rust on the connector contacts and connect the connector to the torque converter lock-up solenoid valve.
