Sedan
1. Remove the refrigerant from the system.
2. Loosen the bolt and disconnect the refrigerant circulation pipes (A) from the evaporator.
3. Remove the heater fan unit.
4. Loosen the bolt and remove the powertrain control unit bracket (A). Loosen the screws and remove the expansion valve cover (B).
5. Remove the evaporator.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
- When installing a new evaporator, add 45 ml of compressor oil.
- Before installing new O-rings, lubricate them with compressor oil.
- After using compressor oil, seal the oil container tightly to prevent moisture from entering.
- Do not allow compressor oil to come into contact with painted surfaces of the vehicle, as this may damage the paintwork. If compressor oil comes into contact with a painted surface, remove it immediately.
1. Evacuate the system.
8. Charge the system.
9. Check the efficiency of the refrigerant circulation system.
Hatchback
1. Remove the refrigerant from the system.
