Repair/inspection
Warning:
- Do not allow brake fluid to get on the surface of the car, it may damage the paint; if any fluid gets on the paint, wash it off immediately with water.
- Wash all parts with brake fluid and let dry, blow out all channels with compressed air.
- Before assembly, check that all parts are free of dust and foreign particles.
- Always replace parts with new ones if required by specifications.
- Make sure that dirt or other foreign substances cannot contaminate the brake fluid.
- Do not mix different brands of brake fluid as they may not be compatible.
- Do not reuse drained fluid. Use only clean DDT 3 or 4 brake fluid.
Note: Vehicles shown are left hand drive. Cars with right-hand drive are similar.
Removal/installation
Warning: If brake fluid gets on your vehicle, immediately wash the surface with water. When disconnecting hoses, immediately plug their ends with plugs.
1. Brake fluid can be drained from the master cylinder reservoir using a hose.
2. Disconnect the clutch hydraulic pipes and hoses from the clutch master cylinder.
3. Remove the cotter pin and remove the pin from the fork. Unscrew the nuts.
4. Remove the clutch master cylinder.
5. Install the master cylinder in order. reverse removal.
Note: bleed the clutch hydraulic drive (see relevant section).

1. Disconnect the clutch hydraulic tube from the slave cylinder.
2. Separate the slave cylinder from the clutch housing.
3. Install the slave cylinder in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Make sure the boot is installed on the slave cylinder.
4. Bleed the clutch hydraulic drive.
- Connect one end of the hose to the bleeder screw, and lower the other end into a container with brake fluid.
- Fill the clutch master cylinder reservoir with brake fluid, then slowly press and release the clutch pedal until no more air bubbles appear.
- Top up the brake fluid.
- Use DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid. Check for leaks and clutch function.
