Removal/inspection
1. Remove the clutch release fork cover.
2. Disconnect the clutch release fork from the fork support by pressing the spring latches. Remove the fork and then the release bearing.
3. Check the release bearing: it should rotate smoothly without jamming.
Attention: the release bearing is filled with grease, so it must not be washed in cleaning solutions or the like.
If the release bearing has excessive play, replace it.
Installation
Note: Use only Honda Genuine Urea UM264 lubricant (P\N 42211-PY5-305)
1. Together with the clutch release fork inserted between the release bearing stops. Install the release bearing onto the drive shaft while pushing the fork through the hole in the clutch housing.
2. Align the latch on the release fork with the fork stop, then press the release fork against the fork stop in sequence.
3. Move the release fork left and right to ensure that it is properly seated on the release bearing and that the release bearing slides smoothly.
4. Install the release fork boot, make sure that the boot seals the release fork and the clutch housing.
