2. Inspect the connectors and socket contacts to ensure that they are in good contact.
- If the contacts are bent, loose or corroded, correct these and retest the system. If the contacts are OK, perform the following tests on the input signal at the connector.
- If any of the tests identify a problem, find and correct the cause, then test the system again.
- If all input signal tests are positive, the control unit is faulty, replace.
Checking the washer motor
1. Remove the front bumper.
2. Disconnect the 2K connector from the washer motor.
3. Check the washer motor by connecting the battery power and ground according to the table.
- If the engine does not run or does not run smoothly, replace it.
- If the engine runs smoothly but fluid is not being pumped out well or at all, check to see if the washer hose is disconnected or blocked or if the pump outlet on the engine is clogged.
