Checking the headlight combination switch
1. Remove the driver's side instrument panel lower cover and steering column cover.
2. Disconnect the 4K and 7K connectors from the switch.
3. Inspect the connector and socket contacts to ensure that they are properly connected.
- Inspect the contacts for bending, loosening, corrosion, repair if necessary and check again.
- If the contacts are OK, check the conductivity between them in each switch position according to the table.
- If there is no continuity between any contact, check the continuity in the switch wiring.
- If there is continuity in the switch wiring, replace the headlight combination switch.
- If there is no continuity in the switch wiring, replace it.
Note: LHD type shown, RHD type is similar.
