Replacement
1. Disconnect the 5K connector from the air mixture control motor.
2. Remove the three self-tapping screws, air control motor and flange bushing.
3. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. After installation, check that the air mixture control motor runs smoothly.
Trial
1. Disconnect the 5K connector from the air mixture control motor.
2. Connect the supply voltage to pin No. 5 of the motor connector, and connect pin No. 1 to the housing. The engine should start and stop in position "Hot". If this does not happen, switch the contacts the other way around, the engine should start and stop in position "Cold".
Note: If the air control motor does not operate, remove it and check the linkages and flaps for smoothness and freedom of movement. If everything is in order, replace the air mixture control motor.
3. Measure the resistance between pins No. 2 and No. 3. It should be approximately 6 kOhm±20%.
4. Measure the resistance between pins No. 3 and No. 4. It should be approximately 4.8 kOhm±20% in position "Hot" and 1.2 kOhm±20% in position "Cold".
