Sunlight sensor (Honda Civic 5)

Replacement

1. Remove the sun sensor from the instrument panel and disconnect the 2K connector.

Note: Be careful not to damage the panel.



2. The installation procedure is the reverse of the removal procedure.

Trial

Turn on the ignition (ON II). Measure the voltage: probe (+) to pin # 1, probe (-) to pin #2 of the 2K connector. The voltage must be:

• 3.7±0.2V or more when the sensor is out of direct sunlight.
• 3.6±0.2V or less when the sensor is under direct light.

Note: The voltage will not change under artificial light or fluorescent light
