Warning: The system must be discharged by a specialist. Unqualified intervention may lead to accidents.
Removal
1. Discharge the air conditioning system.
2. Remove the engine cooling system radiator as described in Section 5.
3. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
4. Remove the radiator grille and engine hood (on models with a front hood mount) see Chapter 11) to access the condenser. Disconnect the upper and lower fasteners (see fig. 16.4). Immediately plug the openings of the pipes to prevent dirt from entering.

5. If necessary, remove the hood latch and condenser mounting bolts and remove the condenser with a downward movement.

Installation
6. Install the capacitor, brackets and bolts, first making sure that the rubber fastening elements are intact.
7. Connect the refrigerant pipes.
8. Assemble in the reverse order of removal.
9. Have the air conditioning system charged at a service station.
