Caution: The air conditioning system is pressurized. Do not disconnect any components of the system until it has been discharged by a specialist.
Removal
1. The system must be discharged.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and raise the front of the vehicle, supporting it securely on stands.
3. From underneath the vehicle, disconnect the compressor clutch electric drive.
4. Remove the drive belt (see Chapter 1).
5. Disconnect the pipelines from the compressor. Close the pipelines and nozzles to prevent dirt from getting into them.
6. Remove the power steering pump, if equipped (see Chapter 10) and other components that impede access to the compressor.
7. Loosen the compressor mounting bolts from the support bracket and remove it from the vehicle.

8. If a new compressor is installed, follow the instructions for it and set the required oil level in it.
9. The clutch can be transferred from the old compressor to the new one.
Installation
10. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Tighten all rubber seals, lubricating them with special oil.
11. Charge the system at a service station.
