Weekly or every 400 km



Control:
  • engine oil level;
  • coolant level;
  • brake fluid level;
  • tire pressure.

Every 3 months or 5,000 km



In addition to the above:
  • control of the fluid level in the steering system;
  • automatic transmission fluid level control;
  • replacement of oil and oil filter in the engine.

Every 6 months or 12,000 km



In addition to the above:
  • inspection and replacement of windshield wipers;
  • inspection and adjustment of the free travel of the release bearing lever;
  • battery maintenance;
  • adjusting drive belts;
  • inspection of hoses;
  • cooling system control.
  • replacement of wheel mounting locations (tire movement);
  • brake lining inspection.

Every 12 months or 24,000 km



In addition to the above:
  • adjusting valve clearances;
  • inspection of the brake system;
  • air filter replacement;
  • replacement of spark plugs;
  • replacement (if necessary) high voltage wires, distributor cap and rotor;
  • automatic transmission oil change;
  • checking the oil level in a manual transmission *;
  • checking the oil level in the rear differential (4WD models);
  • suspension and steering control *;
  • checking the condition of the drive shaft anthers.

Every 24 months or 50,000 km



In addition to the above:
  • control of the automatic heating system operation;
  • crankcase ventilation valve operation control;
  • cooling system maintenance;
  • inspection of the exhaust system;
  • brake fluid replacement;
  • automatic transmission oil change *;
  • oil change in manual transmission;
  • rear differential oil change (4WD models).




Every 24 months or 100,000 km



In addition to the above:
  • fuel filter replacement;
  • ignition timing adjustment;
  • idle speed adjustment;
  • inspection of the fuel vapor recovery system;
  • exhaust gas recirculation system control;
  • control of the exhaust air temperature control system;
  • control of the throttle actuator operation.

If the vehicle operates in "harsh" conditions, work marked with * is performed after 5,000 km (or 3 months). These conditions include:
  • dustiness;
  • frequent use with a trailer;
  • frequent idling or low speed driving;
  • short trips (less than 10 km).

Work marked with ** should be carried out on 1984, 1985 models every 18,000 km, and on 1986-1990 models - every 24,000 km if the vehicle is operated in heavy street traffic and air temperatures above 30°C, in high altitude or hilly terrain.
