2. Install special tool (A) to the brake master cylinder (IN). Turning the adjusting nut (F), install stem (D) so that it ends (WITH) touched the piston number 2 (E) master brake cylinder.
Note: Make sure the special tool is installed on the brake master cylinder without any play.
3. Without changing the position of the rod, install the special tool (A) on the vacuum brake booster and tighten the nuts (IN).
- Tightening torque - 15 Nm
4. Install, vacuum gauge (WITH), by connecting the hoses as shown in the figure.
5. Start the engine and wait for the engine to warm up.
6. By adjusting the speed of the engine crankshaft with the accelerator pedal, set the vacuum indicated by the vacuum gauge to 66.7 kPa.
7. With a feeler gauge (A) measure the gap between the adjusting nut (IN) and body, special devices.
- Gap - 0-0.4 mm
If the gap between the adjusting nut and the tool body is 0.4 mm, then the gap between the stem and piston No. 2 is 0 mm and no adjustment is required.
If the gap between the adjusting nut and the body of the tool is 0mm, then the gap between the stem and piston #2 is 0.4mm or more and needs to be adjusted.
8. Adjust clearance.
A) Loosen the locknut (A) and turning the knob (IN), adjust the clearance.
Note:
- Adjustment should be carried out when a vacuum of 66.7 kPa is created in the vacuum brake booster.
- While adjusting, hold the fork (WITH).
b) Tighten locknut.
- Tightening torque - 22 Nm
9. Remove the special tool.
10. Make sure the distance (A), shown in the figure is correct. Loosen locknut if necessary (IN) and turning the fork (WITH), adjust the gap.
- Distance "A" - 116 mm
11. Establish the main brake cylinder.
