To add oil to the engine, unscrew and remove the filler cap, which is located on the valve cover. Slowly add the required amount of engine oil to the engine, being careful not to spill it. Wipe off oil spills as thoroughly as possible, as they can damage the equipment located in the engine compartment.
Replace the cover and tighten it securely. Warm up the engine, then turn it off. Wait about three minutes and check the engine oil level. Do not overfill the oil above the upper mark on the dipstick. This could damage the engine.
Recommended engine oil
Engine oil plays a vital role in engine performance and longevity. Use only high quality oil. It is recommended to use Honda ACEA A1 / B1 or ACEA A3 / B3 engine oils throughout the entire period of vehicle operation.
For correct determination of engine oil viscosity (according to SAE/ACEA standard), suitable for the car, it is recommended to use the diagram shown in the figure.
Use Honda ACEA A1/B1 or ACEA A3/B3 engine oils throughout the life of the vehicle. Running the engine with these engine oils improves the vehicle's fuel economy.
Additives
Honda car units do not require the use of any additional additives added to oil or working fluids. The use of various types of additives will not lead to a real improvement in the performance or durability of the engine and transmission, but will only increase the operating costs of maintaining the car.
