Location of identification plates on vehicle power units
The vehicle has several identification numbers, the location of which is shown schematically in the figure.
1. The chassis number is stamped on the panel separating the engine compartment from the passenger compartment.
2. The engine number is stamped on the cylinder block.
3. The plate with the transmission number is attached to the top of the gearbox housing.
Note. The engine and transmission have different identification numbers.
Chassis and engine numbers are duplicated on a plate located in the driver's door opening.
On some versions of the vehicle, a certification plate is located in the doorway on the driver's side.
Vehicle identification number (VIN) on some vehicles it is also on a label affixed to the top of the control panel.
