Using a scan tool, check the engine injection system (PGM-FI).
Check the battery terminals or connectors for tightness.
Check battery for low charge.
Check starter. Check the interlock relay.
Check the engine start button. Check the ignition switch or wire.
Engine cranks but won't turn on
Check PGM-FI system DTCs.
Check fuel pressure. Check the fastening of the terminals or the presence of damage in the fuel lines.
Check for a fuel filter.
Check the throttle body.
Check if the engine compression level is too low.
Check for damaged or broken timing chain.
The engine turns on with difficulty.
Check PGM-FI system DTCs.
Check fuel pressure. Check for blockages or damage in the fuel line.
Check for a fuel filter. Check for blockage in the three-way catalytic converter or exhaust system.
The engine spins slowly.
Check the battery terminals or connectors for tightness.
Check battery charge.
Make sure the starter runs smoothly. Check for excessively large obstruction to engine cranking.
