CAUTION: When working inside a vehicle equipped with an airbag and seat belt pretensioner system (SRS system), be especially careful not to damage the SRS control unit. To avoid accidental deployment of the airbags or seat belt pretensioners, before starting work, set the wheels to the straight-ahead position and the ignition switch to the "O" position, disconnect the negative battery cable and wait at least 90 seconds (backup power discharge time). Do not attempt to disassemble the air bag assembly or the pretensioner assembly as there are no serviceable parts in these assemblies. If the air bags and/or pretensioners have deployed (were unfolding), then they cannot be repaired or reused.
