Key points of operation

Radio

The quality of radio signal reception may vary significantly while the vehicle is moving due to terrain features, weather conditions and proximity to sources of electromagnetic radiation.

Cassette player

Clean the tape drive mechanism of the radio with a cleaning cassette approximately once a month. This will ensure constant playback quality. It is not recommended to use 120-minute tapes, as the thin film can damage the tape or wind around the tape drive elements. Do not expose audio cassettes to high temperatures, for example under the windshield. This may cause deformation of the cassette body.

CD player

In cold weather or high humidity, due to fogging of the disc surface and optical elements of the player, playback failures are possible. After normalization of humidity, the system operation is restored.

Strong vibration may cause distortion and interruptions in playback. This is not a malfunction. It is not recommended to leave discs in direct sunlight. Protect the disc surface from scratches.

Radio tape recorder

Turning on and off

The audio system is switched on by pressing the button (1) "PWR" (the system that was running before the last shutdown will turn on).

Volume control

The volume is adjusted with the button (1) extended. Turn the knob (1) to the right to increase the volume and to the left to decrease it.

Adjusting tone and balance

Type 1

The adjustment is carried out by button (10). Switching between the adjustment parameters is carried out by pressing button (8). In this case, the name of the parameter and the set value are displayed on the display.

Type 2

The adjustment is carried out by button (11). Switching between the adjustment parameters is carried out by pressing button (12). In this case, the name of the parameter and the set value are displayed on the display:

BAS - low frequency timbre;
TRE - high frequency timbre;
FAD - balance between front and rear speakers;
BAL - balance between right and left speakers.

Radio

The radio is switched on by pressing the button (14 (type 1)) or (2 (type 2)). Pressing this button again switches the range (AM and FM).

Tuning radio stations

Type 1

When you press the (2) "SEEK" button, the automatic search for a radio station will be activated. The search will stop when a stable signal is found. If the signal is weak, if the automatic search does not fix the setting, press the setting button again (automatic search will be disabled) and tune manually one step at a time using the "TUNE" knob (10).

During stereo reception, the "ST" indicator appears on the display.

Type 2

By pressing and holding one of the buttons (11) until the beep, the automatic search of the radio station will be activated. The search will stop when a stable signal is found. If the signal is weak, if the automatic search does not fix the setting, press the tuning button again until the beep (automatic search will be disabled) and adjust manually one step at a time, by briefly pressing one of the buttons (11).

Programming settings

The settings of the most frequently listened to radio stations can be saved into memory. To do this, tune in to the desired radio station, then press and hold one of the buttons (8-3 (type 1)) or (10-5 (type 2)) until a beep is heard. Switching to the tuned radio station is done by briefly pressing the desired button.

Note: if the batteries are absent for a long time, the radio memory is erased and factory settings are restored.

Automatic programming of settings (type 1)

Click on the button (11) (automatic radio station search will be turned on). The search will stop when a stable signal is found and will remember this radio station to one of the buttons (8 - 3).

Browse radio stations (type 1)

Press and hold the (11) "SCAN" button until you hear a beep, and the radio station will automatically search and play. The radio station you find will play for 5 seconds, then the search will continue. To stop, press the "SCAN" button again until you hear a beep.

Information about the situation on the roads This function is selected by pressing the button (12 (type 1)) or (4 (type 2)). This function does not work in the territory of the Russian Federation.

Note: New radios are tuned to 1620 kHz.

Compact Disc Player (Type 1)

Switching to the CD player mode is done by pressing the (13) "DISC" button.

Loading the disk

Insert the disc into the loading slot.

Note: Do not insert one disc on top of another, do not insert the disc backwards.

Ejecting the disc

To eject the disc, press the button (12).

Rewind

Press and hold the left side of the button (2) to rewind, or the right side of the button (2) to fast forward. Rewinding will stop when you release the button.

Repeat recording

To repeat the current recording, press and hold the button (5). The display will show "RPT". To turn off the repeat, press the button again.

Quick view of the disk

Pressing the button (11) plays 10 seconds of each recording of the current disc in order. The display will show "SCAN". Pressing the button again will continue playing the current melody.

Random selection of records

To play the current disc's tracks in random order, press the button (6). The display will show "RDM". To continue playing the track, press the button again.

Malfunctions

When playing a disc, the following messages may appear on the display:

ERR - CD player malfunction or mechanical damage to the disc. Remove the disc and check it for mechanical damage or deformation. If the disc does not eject or the message does not go out after ejecting it, contact your dealer.
Hot - high disc surface temperature. The inscription will go out and playback will resume when the temperature drops.
DISC - the disc may have been loaded upside down. Remove the disc and check if it was loaded correctly. Also check the disc for mechanical damage.
NO - the disk is missing.

Tape recorder (type 2)

Switching the radio to the tape recorder mode is done by pressing the button (3) "TAPE". When inserting a cassette, the radio automatically switches to the tape recorder mode. To remove the cassette, press the button (16).
