Attention! Before starting the procedure, wait until the engine has completely cooled down.
1. Some Integra models have an oil cooler installed between the full-flow oil filter and the engine block (see accompanying illustration).
2. Remove the oil filter and drain the engine oil (see Chapter Routine maintenance).
3. Disconnect the two cooling lines from the oil cooler. Be prepared to collect any spilled fluid. Immediately plug the open ends of the lines and fittings.
4. Give away the large nut (usually comprising part of a hollow fastening bolt) in the center of the oil cooler and separate the latter from the engine.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Do not forget to replace the sealing ring installed between the block and the oil cooler (before installation, lubricate the new ring with clean engine oil). Make sure the coolant line hoses are securely fastened to their fittings.
6. Install a new oil filter and fill the engine with fresh engine oil (see Chapter Routine maintenance).
7. Adjust coolant and engine oil levels as necessary.
8. Start the engine and check for signs of oil or coolant leaks.
9. Recheck the oil and coolant levels.
