Engines D15Z6, D15Z7, D16Y5, D16Y8:
Attention:
- Use liquid gasket, part number OY740-99986 or 08C70-X0134S.
- Ensure contact surfaces are clean and dry before applying liquid gasket.
- Apply liquid gasket evenly and carefully to cover the entire contact surface.
- To prevent oil leakage, apply liquid gasket to the internal threads of the bolt holes.
- Install the parts within five minutes of applying the liquid gasket. Instead, reapply the liquid gasket after removing the old one.
- After assembly, wait at least 20 minutes before filling the engine with oil.
1. Install the gasket on the oil pan.
2. Apply liquid gasket to the mating surfaces of the block and oil pan. Apply liquid gasket to the shaded areas in the illustration.
3. Tighten the nuts at six points as shown below.
4. Tighten all remaining bolts and nuts.
Caution: Overtightening may cause distortion of the oil pan gasket and oil leakage.
- Tightening torque: 12 Nm
Except for engines D15Z6, D15Z7, D16Y5, D16Y8:
1. Apply liquid gasket to the oil pump and right side cover contact areas as shown below.
2. Install the oil pan gasket and oil pan.
3. Tighten the bolts and nuts as shown in the figure.
4. Tighten all remaining bolts and nuts.
Caution: Overtightening may cause distortion of the oil pan gasket and oil leakage.
