2. Remove the center console (see Chapter 11) and disconnect the connector from the neutral position key. With the shift lever in all positions, check the conductivity in the connector.

3. If the conductivity between the contacts is broken, replace the key: unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the key from the shift lever bracket.

4. When installing a new key, place the runner and lever in the neutral position and tighten the screws (see fig. 5.3).
