Air intake system (Honda Civic 7)

Air filter housing (engine D17A)

1. (If necessary) Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor connector.

2. Remove the air filter cover (see figure "Checking and replacing the air filter").

Tightening torque: 3 Nm

3. Remove the filter element from the air filter housing.

4. Check the air filter and replace it if necessary.

5. Unscrew the air filter housing mounting bolts.

6. Loosen the clamps.

7. Remove the air filter housing.

8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Resonator

1. Unscrew the resonator mounting bolts.

2. Remove the resonator.



3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Air filter housing (engine K20A)

1. Loosen the clamp (A).



2. Unscrew the nuts (B).



3. Remove the air filter housing (C).

4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note

• 1. Remove the variable valve timing system valve.
• 2. Remove the exhaust manifold.
• 3. When installing the exhaust manifold, install a new gasket and self-locking nuts.

Removal and installation

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the parts in the sequence shown in the figure "Air Intake System Layout Diagram".

3. Installation of parts during assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
