If other codes are detected than those listed above, verify the correct detection again. If the specific code is not listed above, replace the ECM/PCM. The check lamp (MIL) may illuminate to indicate a problem in the system if there is poor or intermittent electrical communication. First, check the electrical connections, clean or repair as necessary.

The MIL and D4 or D may illuminate simultaneously when the diagnostic trouble code (DTS) is 6, 7 or 17. Check the fuel injection system, then recheck the D4 or D indicator lamp if it illuminates. The MIL does not illuminate when there is a malfunction in the A/T FI signal or electrical load detector circuits. However, it will detect a code when the diagnostic connector is connected.
