Withdrawal
1. Raise the car, remove the wheel.
2. Loosen the outer end locknut 1/8 turn.
3. Mark the position of the tie rod end relative to the end of the inner rod with marks.
4. Turn away a castellated nut of a tip, press out a tip of steering draft from a rotary fist.
5. Turn out a tip of steering draft. Count the number of full revolutions required to turn out the rod.
Installation
6. Lubricate the tie rod end threads with a light coat of anti-seize compound, then screw on the lock nut.
7. Wrap a tip of steering draft on the number of turns counted at dismantling.
8. Install the tie rod pin in the steering knuckle and tighten the castle nut to a torque (Nm):
- CR-V (with slotted nut) 39-47
- CR-V (without castellated nut) 43
- 4-cylinder Odyssey 43
- Odyssey V6 54
9. Cotter the nut with a new cotter pin.
10. Tighten the tie rod end locknut.
11. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order. Check and adjust rear wheel alignment.
