Vehicle Identification Number (VIN number) located in 3 places (photo):
- the number is stamped on the engine compartment bulkhead,
- on the plate fixed to the left on the upper partition of the instrument panel,
- on the driver's door frame pillar, near the door latch retainer.
The vehicle number contains 17 characters (photo), which indicate the manufacturer's code, purpose and type of vehicle, designation of the conveyor, body type, engine and other information (photo).
Engine type and number
The engine type code is part of the 17-character VIN number, in positions 4, 5 and 6 of the number. These three characters indicate the chassis or body type, engine type; installed on this model of this year of manufacture. Typically this number may change even though the type of engine installed is the same.

The engine serial number is located on the cylinder block next to the gearbox, after the 5-digit engine type code separated by a dash. The engine type code is used to select spare parts during repairs.

Gearbox number
The number on the gearbox housing is stamped next to the starter and is a 4-digit code for the gearbox type, followed by a dash and the serial number. In addition, the gearbox type code corresponding to the basic configuration of the vehicle occupies the 7th position in the VIN number.
