Vehicle numbers
Vehicle identification number (VIN number) located in 3 locations (photo):
- the number is stamped on the bulkhead of the engine compartment,
- on a plate affixed to the left of the upper bulkhead of the instrument panel,
- on the driver's door pillar, near the door latch retainer.
Vehicle number contains 17 characters (photo), which indicate the manufacturer's code, purpose and type of vehicle, designation of the conveyor, body type, engine and other information (photo).
Engine type and number
The engine type code is included in the 17-character VIN number, in positions 4,5 and 6 of the number. These three characters indicate the type of chassis or body, the type of engine; installed on this model of this year of manufacture. As a rule, this number can change, although the type of installed engine is the same.

The engine serial number is printed on the cylinder block next to the gearbox, after the 5-digit engine type code separated by a dash. The engine type code is used to select spare parts for repairs.

Gearbox number
The number on the gearbox housing is stamped next to the starter and is a 4-digit gearbox type code followed by a dash followed by the serial number. In addition, the box type code corresponding to the basic vehicle configuration occupies position 7 in the VIN number.
