Removal and installation the windshield wiper drive motor (Honda Civic 7)

Sedan

1. Open the hood, unscrew the nuts and remove the brushes.

2. Remove the ventilation grille.



3. Disconnect the connector (B) from the electric motor (C), unscrew the bolts and remove the windshield wiper drive (A).



4. Align the marks (C) as shown in the figure, unscrew the nut and remove the lever (B). Unscrew the bolts and remove the electric motor (A).



5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Note:

• apply lubricant,
• before installing the brushes, turn the windshield wiper control switch to the "ON" position and back to the "OFF" position (the windshield wiper will stop at the extreme position),
• replace pins and fasteners if necessary,
• check the operation of the windshield wiper.

Hatchback

1. Open the hood, unscrew the nuts and remove the brushes (A).



2. Remove the ventilation grille (B).

3. Disconnect the connector (B) from the electric motor (C), unscrew the bolts and remove the windshield wiper drive (A).



4. Align the marks (C) as shown in the figure, unscrew the nut and remove the lever (B). Unscrew the bolts and remove the electric motor (A).



5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Note:

• apply lubricant,
• before installing the wipers, turn the windshield wiper control switch to the "ON" position and back to the "OFF" position (the windshield wiper will stop at the extreme position),
• replace pins and fasteners if necessary,
• check the operation of the windshield wiper.
