Removal and installation the steering column lock assembly with the ignition lock
1. Remove the steering column.
2. Punch two shear bolts and drill them out with a 5mm drill.
Caution: Be careful not to damage the steering column lock.
3. Remove the steering column lock.
4. Install the steering column lock and tighten new shear bolts.
5. Check the functionality of the lock and ignition switch.
6. Tighten the shear bolts (B) until the bolt heads (A) break off.
Examination
Caution: Before starting the inspection, read the safety precautions for operation and repair of the passive safety system.
1. Remove the lower instrument panel trim.
2. Disconnect the connector.
3. Check the conductivity between the terminals according to the table.

If the continuity is not as described, replace the steering column lock switch assembly with the ignition switch.
