Checking the limit switch in the trunk lid/tailgate lock (Honda Civic 7)

Sedan

1. Lift the trunk lid.

2. Disconnect the connector from the rear door lock.



3. Check the conductivity between the terminals of the limit switch in the trunk lid lock according to the table.

Switch position	Conclusions
The trunk lid is open	1 -2
The trunk lid is closed	-

Hatchback

1. Lift the rear door.

2. Remove the rear door lower trim.

3. Disconnect the connector (B) from the rear door lock (A).



4. Check the conductivity between the terminals of the limit switch in the rear door lock according to the table.

Switch position	Conclusions
The door is open	1 -2
The door is closed	-
