- a) Pull the remote tailgate/trunk lid release handle located near the driver's seat;
- b) Insert the ignition key into the door/lid lock and turn it clockwise.

To lock, simply slam the door/lid.
When driving, make sure that the tailgate/trunk lid remains closed at all times. This will help prevent possible damage to it and will also prevent exhaust gases containing highly toxic carbon monoxide (CO) from entering the passenger compartment.
The remote release handle of the trunk lid lock can be locked using the ignition key - insert the ignition key into the lock located next to the handle and turn it counterclockwise.
Glove box
To open the glove compartment lid, press the handle button to the left; the lock will snap into place automatically when the lid is closed; the lock can be locked using the ignition key.
Warning! An open glove compartment lid in the event of a traffic accident may cause serious injury to a front seat passenger, even if he or she is wearing a seat belt! Opening the glove compartment with the ignition on automatically turns on its backlight.
